Dinner - Elk Lake Resort Style

Elk Lake Resort's guests enjoy country gourmet meals. Our southwestern Montana Lodge specializes in superb food - country gourmet style.

Most properties which offer Bed and Breakfast Cabins only offer breakfast. However, we take that a step farther at our resort. Montana is known for its wide open spaces. Here at Elk Lake we have some of the best. So, we figure after a day out exploring you'll have worked up an appetite for something hearty, filling, and just plain GOOD - country gourmet good! We offer dinner seating from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by reservation only. Start your meal with a beverage. Maybe a glass of wine from our quality selection or a bottle of beer in a frosty mug. Next choose from a variety of delicious main courses, each accompanied by appetizing side dishes including crisp salads or homemade soup (in season), freshly baked bread, a vegetable and potato side.

Teriyaki Chicken Breast: This delicious dinner starts with an eight ounce Teriyaki Chicken breast, marinated and grilled to perfection. Incredibly tender and moist, you've got to taste it to believe it.

Halibut: If you've never tasted grilled Halibut, you've got to try our eight ounce Halibut steak. Basted with our special sauce, which combines the flavors of lemon, garlic, and various seasonings, our Halibut steak will be a dinner you'll remember as extra good!

Salmon: Most restaurants bake or fry their Salmon, but we believe the best things are kept simple. Thus we grill our eight ounce Salmon steak basting it with a combination of lemon, olive oil, garlic, and various seasonings during grilling. This special blend of seasonings combine with the flavors created by the open flame for the perfect combination - to bring out the 'best' of the Salmon.

Shrimp Scampi: We start with five large and luscious Shrimp and add the perfect blend of seasonings to make a rich, creamy sauce. Then we mix it all together for the best Shrimp Scampi you've ever tasted!

Rib Steak: From a juicy slab of choice Angus beef we hand-cut your steak to an average of 16 ounces. Seasoned and grilled over an open flame, this delicious steak comes to your table cooked to your specification and topped with sautéed mushrooms.

New York Steak: We hand-cut a choice Angus beef New York Strip to give you a steak which averages 16 ounces. We then grill it over an open flame to meet your specifications. Before bringing your steak to your table, we top it with sautéed mushrooms for the perfect flavor combination.

Filet Mignon: Forget about a 6 ounce or even an 8 ounce Filet Mignon, and sit down to a meal to remember. Our Filet averages 16 ounces of pure Angus beef, double wrapped in thick-sliced bacon, seasoned and grilled to your specifications over an open flame, and topped with sautéed mushrooms for the perfect beef-lover's meal.

Prime Rib: Enjoy a large juicy, flavorful piece of prime rib. We slow roast our prime rib in a dry oven to the perfect degree of doneness so you can experience the 'real' flavor of the beef. Tender, full of flavor, and served with our freshly prepared sides, a prime rib dinner at Elk Lake Resort is a dinner to write home about. Served to groups on a pre-arranged basis only, please call us ahead if your group would like us to prepare a special prime rib dinner for your special outing.
