Our Off-The-Beaten-Path Vacation Lodge near Yellowstone Park offers a unique backcountry snowmobile vacation destination. Winter at our Montana Winter Resort is an adventure! Located a few miles off an extensive groomed trail system - 500 miles around Island Park, Idaho and 400 miles around West Yellowstone, Montana - our guests enjoy thousands of acres of untouched powder. There is no doubt our off-the-beaten-path location sits in the middle of a unique winter wonderland. But, don't just take our word for it. In the fall of 2006, SnoWest Magazine did a three-part 'in-depth' article on the Island Park area. Elk Lake Resort - and the countryside out our back door - was deemed worthy of mention in two of the three articles. The second article talks about Elk Lake Resort while later articles talk about the surrounding countryside.
Unique in our offerings, our Montana Winter Resort gives you a taste of life 'the way it used to be' while keeping the comforts of today. Enjoy a private and comfortable cabin. Revel a clear winter night sky without a drop of light diffusion. Listen to a depth of quiet you've only imagined. Dine on great food. Lounge beside a warm fire. Relax! Rejuvenite! Revive! Get away from the crowds and back to nature. Experience winter the way it ought to be!
