Winter at our Western Montana Resort is an adventure! Located a few miles off an extensive groomed trail system - 500 miles around Island Park, Idaho and 400 miles around West Yellowstone, Montana - our snowmobilers enjoy thousands of acres of untouched powder. There is no doubt Elk Lake Resort sits in the middle of a unique winter wonderland. But, don't just take our word for it. The Sun Rises on Another Day at Your Adventure Snowmobile ResortMost of our winter guests snowmobile in to Elk Lake Resort. The ride from Island Park, Idaho, (about 45 minutes) or from West Yellowstone, Montana, (about 1 1/2 hours) offers incredible vistas and adventure, and our western Montana Lodge offers warm meals, cold drinks, and a comfortable place to relax when you arrive. The Gravelly Range, out our back door, offers unlimited powder adventures. A snowmobile can take you there. Ride to Virginia City, if you're so inclined. Your adventures are only limited by your desire. In addition, the Island Park, Idaho, and West Yellowstone, Montana, areas continue to rank in the top five areas for snowmobiling according to the annual survey of SnoWest Readers.

 

Don't Have A Sled? Don't let that stop you. Elk Lake Resort offers the most unique winter vacation setting you can imagine - even if snowmobiling just isn't your thing. You can cross county ski or snowshoe just outside your door. Don't do that either? Just love the snow or want a winter retreat? What's holding you back? We've got a passenger hauler. We'll bring in you and your gear. You can still relax, rejuvenate, and revitalize - in whatever manner suits your personality. Gear / Passenger Hauling: $15 per person

 

The End of Another Perfect Backcountry Snowmobile DayElk Lake Resort is a favorite snowmobile-in trip for those staying in West Yellowstone, Montana, or Island Park, Idaho. Our Western Montana Lodge serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to around 3:30 p.m. - we welcome drop-ins.

Please Note: If your snowmobile group is larger than 6, please call ahead to assure yourself a spot as our dining room is often crowded at meal time.

Dinner meals are also an option for the adventure lover who enjoys a scenic snowmobile ride, followed by a great meal, and topped off with a moonlit snowmobile ride back home. Dinner meals, as always at our Western Montana Lodge, are by reservation only. In the winter we require a group of 6 or more. So, get your snowmobiling friends together and give us a call!

Winter Prices:

Prices include: Cabin & three meals daily (off the menu and including non-alcoholic beverages)

One or two night stay

$100.00 per person - double occupancy

$120 per person - single occupancy

Three or more night stay

$90.00 per person - double occupancy

$110 per person - single occupancy

Get your friends together and save money. For a group of six or more, staying three nights or more:

$85.00 per person - double occupancy

$115 per person - single occupancy

Prices do not include snowmobile rental.

Cancellation Policy: A deposit equal to 25% of your stay is required to reserve a cabin. Twenty percent of the deposit is fully refundable up to 1 month in advance of your arrival. Sorry, no refunds for late arrival or early departure.
