Our unique backcountry lodge offers cross country skiing and snowshoeing adventures for any age or skill level - just outside your cabin door. We cater to the adventurous skier - those looking for a winter wilderness experience. Although we have a small groomer to 'soften the bumps', cross-country skiing at Elk Lake is all about getting back to pure nature. Our skiers enjoy wilderness tour skiing. Elk Lake Resort's guests aren't the shy, the timid, or the fearful of heart. Our Western Montana Lodge sits in the middle of nowhere. Ski into adventure. Enjoy mountain vistas, boundless views, and truly quiet recreation. Elk Lake's crew is set up to shuttle you and your gear to the lodge. If you'd rather enjoy some wildnerness ski touring but don't feel up to the full 18 miles, we can shuttle you to your desired drop off point. Ski 5, 8, 10, or 15 miles. We'll take you there and check on you regularly. When you arrive, we'll have great meals, a warm cabin, pure relaxation, and lots of skiing and snowshoeing adventures waiting - just outside your cabin door. Skier support, cargo, and shuttle service is $15.00 per person

Prices do not include cargo and passenger shuttle. For an additional $15 per person, we'll bring in your gear, provide you support should you desire to ski part or all the way in, and shuttle you if you want a ride.
Cancellation Policy: A deposit equal to 25% of your stay is required to reserve a cabin. Twenty percent of the deposit is fully refundable up to 1 month in advance of your arrival. Sorry, no refunds for late arrival or early departure.
